Philosophy/Approach

“I want this to be a space where the actors conduct and perceive themselves as developing artists. The ‘industry’ is Jim Dandy and it can play a big part in all of our lives, but it has very little importance here. The goal is for all of us to gain a mastery over written material that earns the respect of peers we admire wherever we go, and most importantly, to carry respect and admiration of our own work within us wherever we are.” – Wendy

Structure

Each session runs for 8 weeks. Classes are on Monday and Tuesday nights from 7:15 – 10:30pm. Each week students will perform either a monologue or a scene during class. Scene partners are assigned by Wendy & material is (usually) picked by the students. Students agree to be present for the entire 8 week session and have both their scene and monologue prepared at all times. Scene partners should meet at least 4 hours per week for rehearsals.

Note: You must have done previous scene work to study at 2nd Story!

Prices
Each 8-week session costs $400. (Each class costs $50.) Payments are made in intervals of $200 every 4 weeks.
